HIGHLAND MILLS — Singing the words of the hymn, “Let There Be Peace in Our Time,” members of the Highland Mills United Methodist Church recently re-dedicated their peace pole in the church’s Prayer Garden.

The pole has been a fixture in the Garden since 2011 when it was first erected. Such poles, recognized as the most prominent international symbol and monument to peace, bear the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in the languages of the world.

Highland Mills UMC is located at 654 Route 32 (at Ridge Road) in Highland Mills.

The Prayer Garden is open to the public and everyone is welcome to come and to rest and reflect on the need for peace in our lives and in the lives of those around us, here at home, around the nation, and around the world.

Sunday worship is conducted weekly ay 9:15 a.m. For more information, call 845 928-6177 or go to www.highlandmillsumc.org.
